Venus is all about connection. Venus does what it needs to do to connect with people in all types of relationships. Venus enjoys friends, romance, women, and girls. Venus is beauty, pleasure, ease, and indulgence. (People’s Oracle, 2022, 72)
But when looking at planets, planets are always people first. So the people Venus represents are women, girls, and people we are in romantic relationships with.
Venus has been in Capricorn. Adding limitations to the way we connect with people forces us to be resourceful with how we connect. So, using the internet to connect, connecting with people close to us or who we already know—finding pleasure in things in front of us—using what is in our home to look beautiful. Just being with who is in front of us and using what is in front of us to enhance our beauty, indulge and connect.
Venus in Capricorn is helpful because sometimes we need limits and see the beauty of what is. We need to see the people already around us for who they are and understand how to connect with them. We need to open our closet doors and understand how to make ourselves look beautiful with what we have. But, now that it is coming to an end, what is next?
Aquarius is all about being invisible and self-erasure that forces one to learn how to name themselves, see themselves and be what no one has been. Aquarius can dream of a new being, a new reality, a new way. One not right in front of them and one that has never been seen. Venus in Aquarius speaks loudly about erasing oneself to connect with others. Shrinking oneself to connect with women and girls. To be in community with people (wherever your Aquarius house is, you can look and see where erasure has happened for you.) Venus in Aquarius is shrinking, so you can relate to others. But, this doesn’t feel so good for the person shrinking themselves, erasing themselves, and playing small because NO ONE IS SEEING THEM. No one is seeing them for them. No one is hearing them or recognizing them for who they are. So they have to stand up and say who they are. Even if they’ve never seen it, they have to stand on their two feet and claim precisely who it is they are and not be afraid to be named. Not be scared to be called on. Not be scared to actually be seen for who they are. People with prominent Aquarius placements get so used to shrinking and erasing themselves that they do it more often than not. That is how they have survived in a world where people do not reflect them. That is how they stay because it has not been safe for them to be seen as they are. But, eventually, we have to come out of the closet, whatever closet that is.
Venus in Aquarius determines what beauty is to you, what ease and pleasure look like to you, and what connections look like to you. Allowing yourself to imagine who you are and bringing words to it—bringing words to your creativity, to your type of beauty, to your relationships, bringing words and connecting them in a way others have not done before. Or in a manner that has not been seen often. Aquarius imagines it in your mind, bringing words to it, so it is your reality. This is the time to set beauty standards around you. This is the time to connect with whom you want to how you want to on your terms. This is the time to evaluate where you have erased yourself? Where have you not allowed yourself to fit in? Where have you convinced yourself you could not be or were not that? Where have you wanted to be but couldn’t imagine yourself in that space? What words do you need to add to be in the space you see yourself in?
Because at the end of the day, Aquarius is words, and Venus is connection. Bring words that encompass the image in your mind about how you want to connect with others.
Some questions to review based on where your Aquarius house is:
*This is for the use of your sidereal chart in the whole sign; we all have an Aquarius how so take a look at yours.**
Venus in Aquarius in the 1st house:
How do you connect with people you are in relationships with? How do you erase your differences and identity to maintain relationships? How do you shrink YOUR BODY, and actions are taken in your body to connect with people?
Do you look how you envision yourself looking? Or do you see yourself differently in your mind?
What would it mean to make your appearance look how you see yourself in your head?
Venus in Aquarius in the 2nd house:
How have you erased yourself to eat? How have you shrunk yourself to receive money and connect with people to make money?
How have you silenced yourself or changed your voice to connect?
How do you want to sound? What do you want to say? In the space, you’re getting money in and to the people you make money with or from?
What do you want to have or spend your money on that you’ve never seen?
Venus in Aquarius in the 3rd house:
Whom have you had to be to connect with people around you? How have you shrunk yourself in front of close company (cousins, aunts, uncles, fictive kin)?
Did you have to erase yourself in school? Whom have you become because of it? How can you reclaim yourself in front of people close to you and familiar places?
Can you bring words of who you indeed are to the people close to you and still be with them? If not, is the connection worth it?
How have you shown up on social media? Is that really who you wish to be?
Are your spiritual practices erasing you? Do you see anyone like you in them? Can you find a spiritual practice where people see you? Can you connect with people based on your spiritual practice and who you are?
Get clear on who you want to be in the face of people close to you. Get clear on how you want to be seen in your spiritual practice, and then define who you are in your spiritual practice and your close relationships.
If you can't be you, it’s not worth the connection, no matter how close the person is. No value how good the religion or spiritual practice is if you can’t be you, define who you are and create the spaces that see you.
Venus in Aquarius in the 4th house:
Who have you had to be to fit into your father's family? Or family in general? Was your family different from theirs? Did this mean connecting with them meant erasing you?
Does your family see you for who you are?
Venus in Aquarius in the 5th house:
How have you erased yourself to have romantic relationships? How does it feel to seek pleasure while also having to shrink yourself?
Do you know what you like to do?
What brings you happiness and pleasure? How is it different from your partner or children? Do you still get to do it?
Find a way to do what pleases you even if the people around you don’t like it. You still deserve to do what you want!
What do you enjoy creating? Define what you make as creative even if you don’t see anyone else doing it. Creativity cannot be limited by what is deemed creative. Who defines it anyway? In this case, only you, so whatever you see as creative is.
Be aware of when you're ovulating.
Venus in Aquarius in the 6th house:
How have you erased yourself in your place of work? Is it safe to define where you work at? Is it safe to define your body's limitations in your line of work?
Venus is the ease. You still deserve to work with ease. Find a way to do your work while also feeling relief in your body. Your body needs to feel good for you to do your job.
How have you erased your disabilities to connect with others?
How can you name your disabilities and still be with people?
It’s ok to have disabilities, and you deserve to be able to name them safely in relationships and at work.
Connect with pets!
Venus in Aquarius in the 7th house:
How have you erased or shrunk yourself for other people?
When you hire someone or be in a relationship with someone, it isn’t to be seen, not be heard, or ignore what you like to do.
When you hire anyone to do services for you, they need to see you. They need to know what you need, how you need it, and why. This is not the time to erase and shrink yourself. AND you may have had to shrink yourself to be seen by doctors, therapists, and other people you hired in the past, but at some point, you have to define yourself in those spaces. Find the words before you meet with people, so you do not get erased. Establish before you go how you want the connection and visit to go; therefore, it can be how you need it.
Do not pay people or give yourself away to people and not define who you are!
Venus in Aquarius in the 8th house:
How do you connect with the people you receive money from? How have you erased yourself and played yourself small to receive money from others? How can you name yourself for who you are and with people you receive money from?
How do you connect to dead people? If you work with your ancestors, know that you don’t have to shrink or erase yourself when you work with them. A relationship with the dead is supposed to be healing and liberating. Not a place where you play small or do not have a voice there or remain silent.
Speak to the dead how you would like anyone else. Tell them what it is you need.
How have you had to shrink yourself to live with the people you live with?
Venus in Aquarius in the 9th house:
How has your connection with religious people or professors been one where you’ve had to erase yourself?
How do you connect with people in higher places than you are in?
How can you be yourself when you are in front of people deemed higher or more respectable than you?
If you are in college, is there a major at your school that reflects you?
How can you create within your work to reflect who you are?
Venus in Aquarius in the 10th house:
How is your relationship with your mother?
- This is a time to reflect on your relationship with your mother and how that relationship has been one of erasure. Maybe you’ve had to hide who you are for her to feel better or more at peace. Or perhaps you’ve had to hide who you are to continue living and breathing. What are some small steps you can take to define who you are in front of your mother?
What is your relationship with your boss? Is there a way you can have more govern over your work and creativity at work?
Venus in Aquarius in the 11th house:
How do you connect with children? If you showed up as your authentic self to children and others you worked with, would it help them define themselves?
What is your relationship with nonprofits or nongovernmental work?
There are nonprofits and places somewhere in the world that reflect the person you are, reflect your creative work; sometimes, you have to look for it.
Can you find people that reflect who you are?
Do the friends you have allow you to be yourself, or do you shrink in front of them?
Venus in Aquarius in the 12th house:
How do you define yourself when it comes to strangers?
When you meet a new person, and they ask you who you are, what do you say?
What has been the safest way to connect with new people and places?
When alone, are you able to be yourself? Or do you feel you have to fit into strict limitations of who you should be?
How can you bring words to who you are when you are by yourself?
Connecting with strangers, going to new places to create.
Communicating with your partner or loved ones through technology instead of in person.
