HOW IT ALL STARTED

The Womanist Corner was created after the need to find the intersection of spirituality and black feminism. After studying women for years in academia and then finding hoodoo they had to combine the two things they loved. Therefore, they decided to pick up the name womanist, from Alice Walker meaning “"a woman who loves other women, sexually and/or nonsexually [...] committed to survival and wholeness of entire people, male and female.”

The Womanist Mystic is a writer, an oracle, a diviner and conjure. They love to study read and reflect. This space is a space for their writing and conjure products to be shared with the world.
